Our roots are in Jinja, Uganda, where the Nile river starts. As a part of the African Diaspora, our family has lived across continents, the Middle East region and the USA.

As avid enthusiasts of utilizing Bukhoor (incense) in our home, we wanted to emulate that through the convenient form of an eco-friendly candle. What started as a curious hobby in our kitchen developed into Oudi Candles. Our name Oudi comes from the Swahili equivalent of the word Oud.

Our goal is to connect the East with the West by bringing traditional scents, with a bit of a modern twist, into your homes.

Our candles are handmade in Southern California. We hope you enjoy our candles as much as we enjoy creating them for you.
